Garden Pitts Retreat, a large spacious and detached, traditional stone
cottage that has been renovated throughout to a very high standard is set on the Cleddau estuary at Landshipping. Well appointed with great attention to detail it has been stylishly furnished with high quality pieces that retain a period feel. With wooden floors and original sash style windows the spacious double aspect lounge with exposed stonework has large comfortable leather sofas to relax on, while French doors lead out to a paved patio with views over this secret tidal waterway which teams with
wildlife and is popular with
boating enthusiasts. Set in a large, enclosed lawned garden with a secret orchard there is plenty of space to dine alfresco and
children to play. The modern fitted kitchen also continues the
cottage theme while offering excellent catering facilities. The charming bedrooms are beautifully furnished with crisp white linen and pretty floral prints reflecting the rich countryside views while the master bedroom has a lovely water aspect. Set just under a mile outside Landshipping, with its quay for launching
boats, and with the Cleddau estuary is dotted with quaint villages and pubs that are largely untouched and just waiting to be explored. A visit to The Snooty Fox pub is a must, only approx 4 miles away, and also to the Quayside Tearooms in Lawrenny where you can sit and watch the
boats on the river whilst enjoying a meal, approx 5 miles away. This is the perfect, peaceful getaway yet conveniently located to sample the boutiques, restaurants and delis in the bustling market town of Narberth only a 15 minute
drive away, as are the attractions of Oakwood
